Images of the supposed WH-1000XM4 were posted via Twitter by Mishaal Rhaman (@MishaalRahman). It’s the first time we’ve seen any physical depictions of the headphones in the flesh. In comparison to its predecessor, the headphone cups appear to be slightly thicker. Otherwise, the overall design of the headset looks identical to the last three generations of the series.

However, we do know that Sony’s 4th generation ANC wireless headphones are assembled in Malaysia and that it will use USB-C for charging and a 3.5mm port for wired listening. At the time of writing, we still don’t know when the headphones will be launching. However, we’re beginning to see a slashing in the pricing of the WH-1000XM3 on online retail stores like Lazada and Shopee, meaning that a launch could very well be around the corner.
