While the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max might be powered by the same A13 Bionic chip as per iPhone 11, the other parts of the devices are completely different. For starters, both phones feature a stainless steel chassis as opposed to iPhone 11’s aluminium chassis.
Furthermore, both devices are also equipped with Super Retina XDR display with a screen size of 5.8-inch for iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch for iPhone 11 Pro Max. According to Apple, it is the brightest and sharpest display that the company ever put into an iPhone with a maximum brightness level of 1,200 nits and 458 pixels per inch. Of course, one of the main highlights for the iPhone 11 Pro series is its camera. In addition to the 12MP ultra-wide and wide cameras that are also present on a standard iPhone 11 variant, the Pro models feature an additional f/2.0 telephoto camera on their back which also has a 12MP sensor.
Apple has also utilized the same 12MP f/2.2 TrueDepth camera as selfie camera on iPhone 11 Pro models which support slow-motion 120fps video recording or standard 60fps video recording at 4K resolution. The company also stated that Face ID implementation on these devices is 30% faster and able to perform facial recognition at better angles as well as from a farther distance. While the company didn’t reveal the exact battery capacities that are contained within both devices, Apple claimed that the iPhone 11 Pro offers a battery life that is 4 hours longer than iPhone Xs while the iPhone 11 Pro Max can go up to 5 hours longer than iPhone Xs Max. Through the accompanying 18W fast charger, both devices can achieve 50% of their charges with just 30 minutes of charging time.
In the United States, both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be made available on 20 September with a starting price of USD 999 (~RM 4,163) and USD 1,099 (~RM 4,579) respectively. For their Malaysian release date and pricing, check out the details through our earlier report right here.
