The question on a lot of people’s mind is: is she even still alive? After all, if Thanos version 2 and all of his army got dusted after Iron Man’s snap, wouldn’t Gamora version 2 get dusted too? In an interview with ComicBook.com, one of the directors of Avengers: Endgame, Joe Russo, discussed Gamora’s fate.
Joe Russo saying “we have no idea” is going to rub a lot of fans the wrong way, understandably so. It can be frustrating when filmmakers make certain decisions without knowing where it’s going to lead. But what we need to remember is, the Russo brothers along with screenwriters Markus and McFeely were tasked to wrap up 10 years worth of longform storytelling, not think about what comes after. Now it’s up to the next batch of writers and directors to take the pieces (i.e missing Gamora and Sam Wilson as Captain America) and continue the stories. (Source: ComicBook.com)
