For those who are unfamiliar with the new watch, the GBD-200 still carries similar fitness tracking features from its predecessor including daily steps and runs, in which users can then upload and analyse using the G-Shock Move app. However, the new model features a different form factor instead. As opposed to the circular body that the 2020 model has, the GBD-200 comes with a square-shaped case that was inspired by 1983’s DW-5000C which was the first G-Shock ever made. Not only that, Casio also said the GBD-200 is also much more compact and lighter than the GBD-100. In terms of pricing, the long-time distributor of Casio in Malaysia, Marco Corporation stated that the GBD-200 will be made available in our market for RM 699. However, the pre-order promotion which will run until 30 July allows early adopters to purchase the watch at RM 599 instead and they will receive an additional six months warranty on top of the standard one-year policy. Pre-orders can be done through participating retailers that Marco has listed here but for those who want to learn more about the new G-Shock before making any decision, just head on to Casio’s official website.
