As a comparison, last year’s Xpax monthly passes were priced at RM 30 for 5GB as well as RM 50 and RM 79 for 10GB and 15GB quota respectively. In addition to that, Celcom has also unveiled a new Xpax weekly internet pass that provides 18GB data for RM 12 per month which is more than double than what the telco offered last year.
Aside from the differences in terms of data quota and pricing, the new Xpax monthly and weekly Internet passes no longer provide the unlimited YouTube access from 1 AM to 7 AM and iflix’s VIP account. There is no data rollover feature for these new passes as well. However, they do come with free 3GB and 1GB hotspot quota respectively although the hotspot speed are capped at 3Mbps .(UPDATE – 6:30 PM: the 3Mbps speed cap not only applies to the hotspot but the whole 48GB and 18GB of the internet passes as well. Thanks to Kairys M for pointing this out.) Both of these new Xpax internet passes can be obtained through Celcom Life App as well be entering their respective USSD codes.
