The COLOP e-mark was first introduced in Germany and Austria in 2019 by the company, as an alternative to traditional stamping or printing approaches. The mobile printer is claimed to be able to label up to 5,000 imprints on one ink cartridge, and is managed by a companion app for mobile devices. The company explained that the e-mark is based on HP inkjet technology and can print up to three lines, depending on the intended label size. It is equipped with a rechargeable battery which lasts up to five hours of continuous operation, and can be charged via a docking station. The device itself weighs approximately at 224.5g and is slightly larger than a PC mouse. Its proprietary app is available for free on Windows, Android and iOS platforms, which would allow users to create and customise imprints that can then be transferred to the device for printing via WiFi. Additionally, the mobile printer can store up to four customised designs that are ready to print.
The COLOP e-mark is priced at RM1,399 and will come with one ink cartridge. On that note, each ink cartridge refill is priced at RM169.
