In its announcement post, Epic Games reminded its iOS players that they won’t be able to play the game when Chapter 2, Season 4 rolls around on 27 August. With that, the company asks its iOS users to compete with players on other platforms one last time. The company also took the chance to try and convince its iOS users to migrate to other platforms. And to really drive the point home, Epic Games is putting up prizes that are all basically jabs at Apple. One of the more basic ones is the Tart Tycoon, the company’s parody of Apple in its Nineteen Eighty-Fortnite video.

There’s also some expensive hardware up for grabs, and all of them are decidedly, well, not Apple. These include an Alienware gaming laptop, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, a OnePlus 8, a PlayStation 4 Pro, an Xbox One X and a Nintendo Switch. Near the end of the announcement, the company asks its fans to let Apple know if they’re frustrated about being locked out of the iOS version of Fortnite. This can probably be taken as Epic Games properly starting to weaponise its fan base against Apple. (Source: Epic Games)
