Joshua Boggs, the founder of Studio Mayday, tweeted that he got a partial refund in one such scenario. The notification came via email, which says just as much.
— Joshua Boggs (@jboggsie) May 15, 2020 As Kotaku points out, part of the official EGS refund policy is that you can request for a refund manually if this happens to you. The same applies to Steam as well which, chances are not many know of. But this one goes to Epic Games for automating the process, so that its customers don’t feel cheated for not waiting. One thing that’s odd is that Epic Games did not mention this in its Store refund policy. The policy was quite recently updated too. What is officially announced, on the other hand, is that you can now get refunds on your own. (Source: Joshua Boggs / Twitter via Kotaku)
