As with all new products, the Charge 4 will launch with several improvements and new additions over its predecessor. Chief among these additions are built-in GPS and Spotify support, as well as the brand’s latest fitness innovation, Active Zone Minutes. From what we can gather, Active Zone Minutes is a new heart rate zone-based tool that basically calculates your desired heart rate zone. Rewarding the wearer with minutes toward their daily goal. Additionally, the feature optimises GPS performance and other advanced sensors and capabilities. While still retaining the same lightweight design which was technically carried forward from the Charge 3. Battery-wise, the fitness tracker still retains the same seven-day battery life as well.
Thanks to its built-in GPS module, Fitbit says that you will now be able to take the Charge 4 out without your phone, go through your daily routine, come back and have it synchronise with your phone and the Fitbit app. The Fitbit Charge 4 will be available in Malaysia sometime in late April. Price-wise, the fitness tracker starts at RM698 for the Black, Rosewood, and Storm Blue/Black colour options, while the Charge 4 Special Edition with its exclusive Granite Black woven band will retail for RM798.
Naturally, Fitbit will also be selling a variety of bands for the Charge 4, including REPREVE recycled woven reflective bands in Midnight and Rosewood, silicon sports bands in Evergreen and Frost White, and Black Horween leather.
