Included in Nikoshita’s tweet are images of the new device, which sports a plastic and mostly square body. Noticeable features include an optical viewfinder, flash module, and a pancake cake. The back of the Square SQ1 is mostly featureless; sans for the aforementioned viewfinder, a photo counter, and what appears to be the photo paper feeder. Judging by the camera’s overall design and limited features, the Instax Square SQ1 looks to be more in the budget side of things – not saying that is a bad thing, of course. As a comparison, the mid-range Square SQ6 and higher-end Square SQ20 (RM888) both allow for a variety of shooting modes, and the latter includes a LCD screen that doubles as a viewfinder. As with most leaks, most of the camera’s specifications are unknown for the time being. Based on Nikoshita’s track record, it’s quite likely that Fujifilm may officially unveil the Instax Square SQ1 very soon. (Source: Nikoshita [Twitter])
