This time around, Google has chosen orangutan as the theme for its Doodle. Naturally, users would be ushered to the search results page for Hari Merdeka when they clicked on the Doodle at Google Malaysia’s home page.
This is not the first time that Google has chosen an animal theme for its Merdeka Day’s Doodle. Previously in 2016, the company has come out with a Merdeka Day’s Doodle that featured Malayan tigers. Our national flower, Bunga Raya or hibiscus rosa-sinesis has also been the subject of Google Doodle for Merdeka Day multiple times over the years.
