The Google Photos app is now equipped with a brand new tab within the editor which will smartly suggest the right filters for users to apply to their images. The suggestions that are provided by Google will easily allow users to automatically adjust the brightness, contrast and portrait effects by tapping on the already pre-installed Color Pop and Enhance filters.
Apart from this, if you wish to manually edit your photos and ditch the pre-installed filters altogether, the new layout within the Photos app will allow you to have that privilege by manually adjusting the level of brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, among many other options available within the app itself. Specifically catered for Google’s own Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 devices, the company is offering a new Portrait Light feature which will take advantage of Google’s machine learning technology to offer more image editing feature for its users. Among those features include the ability to adjust the light position and brightness after a photo has been captured even on non-Portrait mode.
The revamped Google Photos editor has already been rolled out starting today. At the time of writing, Google has not announced any plans of introducing this feature for iOS devices anytime soon. However, if you are an Android device user, go ahead and try this feature now. (Source: Google)
