As you may recall, much of the specifications of the GoPro Hero9 Black were initially leaked earlier this month. As it turns out, most of the information regarding the device are indeed accurate. The new action cam features a 2.27-inch touchscreen display on its back, and in front is a 1.4-inch full-colour LCD display. On top of its ability to record videos in 5K resolution, the Hero9 Black is also capable of shooting 4K/60p and 1080/240p in slow motion, as well as taking 20MP photos. It also includes GoPro’s updated HyperSmooth 3.0 video stabilisation, and a removable 1,720mAh battery that offers 40-percent more than on the Hero8 Black. To further enhance the Hero9 Black’s video recording capability is the all-new Max Lens Mod that can be attached on its front lens. The mod provides an ultra-wide 155-degree field of view, as well as Max HyperSmooth stabilisation at up to 2.7k/60p.
The GoPro Hero9 Black is available in the US starting today and is priced at USD450 (~RM1,866) off the shelf, or USD350 (~RM1,4,50) if purchased along with a one-year GoPro Subscription worth USD50 (~RM206). The optional Max Lens Mod will be available in October, and is priced at USD100 (~RM415).
