Interesting enough, some of these allocations will be distributed directly to Malaysians via digital means. Specifically, Malaysians will receive RM 100 worth of digital vouchers that be used for domestic flight, train journey, and hotel stay.
That being said, the exact detail on how this RM 100 digital voucher will be distributed to the Rakyat is not yet known since it was not revealed by the Prime Minister during his announcement. Since it is going to be a digital voucher, we predict that it could be distributed through the on-going E-Tunai Rakyat program. But of course, let’s wait for further confirmation. We’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned. (Source: Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia – [pdf]. // KLIA image: Slices of Light, used under Creative Commons license. )
