When the implementation was announced by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on 28 May, he did point out that the decision to move to other phases of the MCO 3.0 lockdown would be based on the risk assessment by the Ministry of Health (MoH).
— KKMalaysia🇲🇾 (@KKMPutrajaya) June 1, 2021 At the start of the lockdown on 1 June, there were 7,105 cases which would continue to rise until 3 June with 8,209 cases. From there, the number of cases went on a downward trend until 7 June with 5,271 cases. Unfortunately, the numbers failed to stabilise as 5,566 to 6,849 positive cases have been recorded by MoH between 8 to 11 June. Hence, it was not surprising to learn that MoH had proposed a recommendation to the National Security Council (MKN) to further extend the lockdown.
— KKMalaysia🇲🇾 (@KKMPutrajaya) June 11, 2021 In terms of SOPs though, Minister Ismail has said that they remained the same for the time being. Based on past experiences though, everyone should remain vigilant and always keep a look for updated information from relevant authorities such as MKN, just in case there are any sudden changes.
