The source of the rumours originates from one of the industry’s most prominent leakster, kopite7kime (@kopite7kimi). According to them, NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace will reportedly be coming out a little earlier than expected, while also saying that the GPU maker is indeed sticking to its guns of switching from Samsung to TSMC’s N5 process. This bit of news feels a little skeptical, on account that NVIDIA’s current roadmap is to release a new GPU architecture once every couple of years, along with the relevant GeForce cards that are based on said GPU. To that end, the new GPU is still likely to launch by 2022, but this time around, the launch windows could fall within the third quarter of the year, rather than the company’s usual fourth quarter launch period.

Of course, these two leaksters also recently tweeted about the possibility that NVIDIA currently has a GeForce RTX 3090 Super in the pipeline, that the card itself would pull as much as 450W from the wall, and that it would not have an NVLink for SLI. As always, these rumours still remain unconfirmed, and it is unlikely that we will be hearing from NVIDIA on the existence of Ada Lovelace anytime soon. So, take this news with a pinch of salt.
