In terms of design, the new Buds Pro somewhat resembles the AirPods Pro to a degree. But what sets it apart from Apple’s product are the chrome-covered stems on each earbud, giving them a more fancy-looking appearance. In addition, the product is made available in two colour options: white and black. Hopefully, OnePlus’ design for its Buds Pro is enough to prevent US customs from mistakenly identifying them as counterfeit AirPods.
The newly launched earbuds feature 11mm audio drivers with Dolby Atmos support. Its onboard ANC is capable of canceling noises ranging from 15 to 40 decibels, which are further enhanced by three built-in microphones on each earbud that also block wind noise. In terms of connectivity, the Buds Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.2 support and is claimed to feature a latency level of 94ms. OnePlus says that device is capable of lasting up to 10 hours on a full charge, and could go on for another 33 hours via the included charging case. A full charge will only take around 10 minutes when keeping the earbuds in its case, the brand added. The case itself can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly via a compatible Qi-charger. Other than that, the new earbuds also come with an IP55 sweat and dust resistant rating.
The OnePlus Buds Pro is slated to go on sale in Europe from August 25 for EUR150 (~RM746), and in the US this September at US$150 (~RM634). The brand has not announced any plans of launching the new earbuds in other regions at this current time. (Source: OnePlus [Official website])
