Despite being part of the Reno series, the new Reno Ace is not equipped with the series’ signature shark fin-shaped motorized selfie camera. Instead, the phone’s 16MP selfie camera is housed within the notch of its 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display which also has an in-display fingerprint reader and a refresh rate of 90Hz as well as 135Hz touch sampling rate. As for the rear camera system, the Reno Ace relies on four different cameras including its 48MP main camera. Accompanying the Sony IMX586-based f/1.7 snapper is a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and 2MP monochrome camera. Meanwhile, sealing its status as a flagship device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor alongside up to12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage. Not to forget, the Reno Ace also features a 4000mAh battery that can be fully charged from empty to 100% in just 30 minutes, thanks to the company’s propriety 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge tech. Pricewise, the Reno Acer with 8GB/128GB configurations goes for CNY 3,199 (~RM 1,883). On another hand, the phone’s 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants are being listed for CNY 3,399 (~RM 1,999) and CNY 3,799 (~RM 2,235) respectively.
OPPO will also be releasing the sweet looking Reno Ace Gundam Edition shown above, which comes with the 8GB of RAM, 256GB internal storage, and CNY 3599 (~RM 2,118) price tag. However, it is not yet known for now whether the company will be releasing the Reno Ace series in Malaysia or otherwise.
