Along with the new update, OPPO will be introducing some new features for an improved user experience in the ColorOS 7 update, which features a new lightweight UI design and allows full icon customisation. On top of that, the company is finally including the much requested system-wide Dark Mode as well. OPPO is also introducing a cache pre-load feature called “oFas” where it allows applications to load faster, even when after a cold boot. There is also the “oMem” feature that enables the system to adapt to the user’s usage habits, which helps to improve RAM utilisation and system response time.
Additionally, the update includes a privacy protection feature with the built-in Private Safe function that locks in your private photos, videos, files, as well as disabling other apps from accessing them. Camera-wise, users will see improvements in the camera app with the inclusion of Ultra Night Mode, improved the AI beauty feature, and an enhanced video editor. The ColorOS 7 update will begin with a trial version, which will be released starting with the OPPO Reno and Reno 10X models first on 26 November. From there, the update timeline spans all the way until Q2 2020, providing updates to over 20 OPPO smartphones. (Source: OPPO)
