[ORIGINAL ARTICLE: 31 May – 9:09pm] Samsung Malaysia today has launched a mid-year sale for its Galaxy Note20 series, offering an attractive RM1,100 rebate for the standard and Ultra variants. Starting today on 31 May until 4 July, customers are able to pick up both phones for only RM3,199 and RM4,099 respectively. Most of us may have forgotten the specs for two devices since they were launched back in August of last year, so here’s a refresher. Let’s start with the standard Galaxy Note20, which comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display, 8GB RAM, and a 4,300mAh battery with 25W fast charging via USB-C. On its back is a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP main shooter, 64MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide, while housed in the display’s punch-hole cutout is a 10MP selfie camera. The Ultra variant, on the other hand, sports a larger 6.9-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery with the same fast charging tech as the standard 5G model. On its back is also a triple camera setup, but featuring different sensors than its smaller sibling. Instead, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is equipped with a 108MP main camera, 12MP telephoto with up to 5x optical zoom and 50x hybrid Space Zoom, as well as a 12MP ultra-wide. Meanwhile, found within the punch-hole cutout on its display is the same 10MP front-facing camera. Similar features found on either Galaxy Note20 smartphones is a Samsung Exynos 990 flagship chipset, 25W USB-C fast charging support and, of course, the integrated S-Pen accessory. For this particular promotion, the brand is only offering the 256GB storage configuration for both devices. Also tagging along during the Samsung mid-year sale is the newly launched standard Galaxy A32 model. During this promotion, the brand is offering the 128GB storage configuration of the phone at a discounted price of RM999, which is RM100 off from its original retail price. Samsung Malaysia noted in its press release that both Galaxy Note20 phones and the Galaxy A32 can be purchased at the aforementioned prices starting today via its Experience Stores and authorised retailers nationwide, as well as its official online store. However, its worth noting that only the Ultra model of the Note20 is available on its website at this time. Samsung informed us that stock for the standard variant will arrive on the second week of June 2021. It is unclear whether the vanilla model is already sold out or is planned to be made available at a later date. Regardless, we’ve reached out to Samsung Malaysia for clarification and will update this article accordingly once we’ve received word from them.
