As per our previous report, the Redmi 9T is essentially a variant of the Redmi 9 Power which will also be released in India later this month. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, the phone carries a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display that is protected by Corning Gorilla 3 and also houses Redmi 9T’s 8MP f/2.05 selfie camera within its teardrop notch.
On its back, the Redmi 9T is equipped with a 48MP f/1.79 camera on its back alongside 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and 2MP f/2.4 macro cameras. Completing the phone’s photography toolset is a 2MP depth sensor. The new phone also comes standard with a 6000mAh battery which supports fast charging of up to 18W although the charger that Xiaomi has included with the phone is rated much higher at 22.5W. Being a Xiaomi phone, the Redmi 9T is also equipped with 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster. As for the price, the Redmi 9T with 4GB of RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 internal storage goes for RM 599 while the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage can be obtained for RM 699. Both versions will be readily available through Xiaomi’s official store on Lazada and Shopee as well as Authorized Mi Stores and Xiaomi retailers throughout Malaysia starting from 15 January 2021 onwards.
